SDTA Friends,
Another summer is winding down, and the SDTA Fall Rendezvous is
not far away. I am looking forward to seeing many of you at the
fall meeting at Flandreau. We are working on putting together
another top notch program for everyone to enjoy. I hope if you
have never attended the Fall Rendezvous, I promise you will have
a good time and educational experience. The meeting of new friends,
the sharing with other folks the same interests as yourself, and
the relationships developed over the years are priceless things
that will stay with you.
As you recieve this newsletter you will find well written profiles
for each of the directors who were nominated by other SDTA members.
Also you will find an official 2009 director ballot. I encourage
each of you to use your voting priviledge and exercise that right.
We have seven very outstanding candidates on the ballot who bring
wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the organization. I have
always said that change is a good thing and I have decided not
to accept a nomination for another two year director term. I
have certainly enjoyed being your president the past five years.
During that time there have been no shortages of challenges, but
the meeting of many new friends has made all the time and work
worth while. I look forward towards continued involvement in the
SDTA, and I thank all of you for your support and friendships
these past five years serving as your president.
There still are a lot of things all of us need to do before the
Fall Rendezvous. One of those is to move those SDTA Sportsmen's
raffle tickets, and hopefully, many of you are making plans to
attend the Fall Rendezvous. See you in Flandreau. Thank you.
Kim Potter
President - SDTA
